The Cultural Significance Of Your Native Tongue
If you have never studied language before, then you might not realize it but your native tongue definitely has significance. Especially to other people who are trying to learn the language. The reason for this is because no one speaks the language quite like a native.
For example, when you are studying the Spanish language, you can study it from a native Spanish speaker, or you can study it from someone who learned the language years ago. Who is going to have more strength in their language? The person who spoke this language while they were growing up will speak it the best.
The reason for this is because hearing the sound of that language in its native tongue, there is nothing quite like that. You will truly hear how words are supposed to sound in that language. That is why your own native tongue has a cultural significance. You can speak your own language with ease because you have been doing it all of your life. You make all of the required cultural sounds of that language.
A foreigner can do this as well, but if you have ever heard someone else trying to speak your language, you will know that they have a definite accent from that other country.
